United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres made an incorrect claim

According to a report that was published by CNBC on July 18, 2022, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres made an incorrect claim that heat waves, floods, and rising sea levels were caused by society’s “fossil fuel addiction.” He also called for “collective action over suicide” to move toward renewables, which is impossible given that all renewables are produced from fossil fuels, according to Friends of Science.

The true “collective suicide” is the result of the ineffective climate policies implemented by the EU and the “Energiewende” in Germany.

Pierre Kunsch, a physicist with a doctorate, demonstrates that efforts to reduce carbon emissions from energy production in the European Union are doomed to fail, as shown by the numbers. According to Friends of Science, what Guterres wants for the whole planet is nothing more than a disastrous lab experiment carried out at full size.

The drive for renewable energy that Guterres is leading overlooks the fact that the production of electricity is just one component of the equation when determining how much fossil fuel is used. It is possible that big enterprises in Germany, such as BASF, which employs 39,000 people and provides hundreds of goods and chemicals to customers all over the globe, would be forced to close their enormous site in Ludwigshafen. Both the thermal energy that natural gas provides and its role as the feedstock for the huge amount of natural gas process stream need the use of natural gas in industrial operations. The supply of natural gas has been restricted by Gazprom, which has resulted in an increase in the price of commodities.

In September of 2019, when Greta Thunberg, who was then 16 years old, was berating the United Nations with her impassioned “how dare you” speech, the worldwide group CLINTEL, which today includes over 1,100 scientists and researchers, addressed a registered letter to Guterres. They provided an explanation that there is no environmental emergency and asked for a conference of scientists at a high level to consider the World Climate Declaration.

To this day, we have not heard back from Guterres with a comment. Friends of Science Society believes that Antonio Guterres should stand down as Secretary General of the United Nations because of this failure to do enough due diligence as well as his clear climate blindness to the truth of the disaster that is unfolding in Germany.

US Dept. of Agriculture report states that the Farm-To-Fork policy if adopted globally, would drive up food prices 89%, which in turn “would increase the number of food-insecure people in the world’s most vulnerable regions by 22 million (EU-only adoption) to 185 million (global adoption).”

In an article that was actually published in French in Atlántico, longtime top EU energy policy consultant Samuel Furfari makes the point that our food systems are also dependent on hydrocarbons. This is the case not only for the production of fuel for food and agriculture processing equipment but also, more importantly, for the production of fertilizer.

In the meantime, according to a report that was published in the National Post on June 28, 2022, farmer protests are raging in the Netherlands, with supporting protests bursting up throughout Canada and elsewhere across the world. This is because governments plan to reduce farm production, constrain livestock, and cut farmers’ use of fertilizers in the belief that this will stop climate change.

According to Roger Pielke Jr., there is no climate emergency without the unlikely scenario known as “RCP 8.5,” which is a scenario that is no longer considered our future according to the IPCC Physical Sciences report.

According to the explanation provided by Belgian philosopher Drieu Godefridi, the climate agenda has first pushed the EU into energy poverty, and then the “Food-to-Fork” (FTF) climate policies will drive more people into food poverty, hunger, and famine. Both of these outcomes will be caused by climate change. According to a report published by the United States Department of Agriculture in November 2020, the FTF policy, if implemented globally, would result in an increase in food prices of 89 percent. This, in turn, “would increase the number of people who are food-insecure in the world’s most vulnerable areas by 22 million (EU only adoption) to 185 million (global adoption).”

The assaults on cattle, according to Friends of Science, are not supported by scientific facts. This is in addition to climate tampering with fertilizer and agricultural techniques.
