The Christmas ceasefire proposed by Putin has been rejected by Ukraine

On the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russian forces will observe a truce in Ukraine throughout the Orthodox Christmas holiday, which takes place from January 6 to 7.

The suggestion for a ceasefire has been labeled as “hypocrisy” by Kiev, which also restates its demand that Russian military depart from Ukraine.

Putin has indicated that he is willing to engage in dialogue with Ukraine on the condition that Kyiv consents to cede territory to Russia in the east and the south.

According to a report by a Ukrainian official, a Russian strike on a residential structure in Kherson resulted in the deaths of a married couple together with their son, who was 12 years old.
