The first lady, Jill Biden, had a positive COVID-19 test and was having “moderate symptoms,” the White House said on Tuesday.

On Monday, she started feeling sick while on vacation with President Joe Biden in South Carolina. Antiviral Paxlovid has already been supplied, and she plans to rest and isolate herself at the rental for at least 5 days.

The White House said that President Biden had tested negative for the virus on Tuesday morning but will be following CDC recommendations and will be wearing a mask indoors for the next ten days. On August 7th, he overcame a second round of the illness.
