However, what’s interesting about the interview is not what it covered, but rather what it didn’t cover. The interview was a perfect example of what’s known as the “art of scandal implosion,” where the media and the government work together to avoid exposing scandals that could be politically damaging.

The interview briefly touched on the potential criminal charges that Hunter Biden, the President’s son, could face. Ruhle assured the President and the viewers that the charges would have “no ties to you.” Biden himself defended his son, stating that “my son’s done nothing wrong. I trust him. I have faith in him.” However, despite these claims, there are mounting allegations of Hunter Biden’s involvement in influence peddling and potentially criminal conduct by the President himself.

The Justice Department and the media have been working tirelessly to avoid ties between Hunter Biden’s foreign dealings and the President. The charges that Hunter Biden may face are still unknown, but there have been steady leaks indicating that the Delaware U.S. Attorney is focusing on tax and gun charges.
