In light of the growing number of conversations about the possibility of a nuclear war, the United States Agency for Health and Human Services (HHS) has bought medications with a total value of $290 million for the treatment of radiation illness.

As reported by the Washington Free Beacon, Amgen Inc. is the company that supplies Nplate. The government has reportedly acquired this product as part of its attempts to prepare for a variety of calamities, including nuclear fallout. Radiation sickness, which may occur after being exposed to locations that have been affected by nuclear catastrophes, is the primary condition that this medication is intended to address.

According to the government, the bio-manufacturer will continue to keep up the supply.

Earlier this week, President Joe Biden gave the impression that he took the nuclear threats made by Russian President Putin seriously. The White House eventually sought to backtrack on this position, though.

Biden made the statement that “we have not been confronted with the threat of Doomsday since Kennedy and also the Cuban Missile Crisis.” Because his army is, you might say, considerably underperforming, Putin is “not kidding when he warns about the possible utilization of tactical nuclear weapons and biological or chemical weapons.”

Since their first deployment in open hostilities during World War II, when they were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, nuclear weapons have never been used again.
