Retiree’s Boeing 727 Dream Home Takes Flight in Oregon!

Who says retiring has to mean settling down in a regular house like everyone else? Not Oregon retiree Bruce Campbell, who has turned a Boeing 727 jet into his dream home! Campbell has spent over a decade working on the project, and his one-of-a-kind home is finally complete. Let’s take a closer look at this unique piece of architecture.

Flying High: Retiree’s Boeing 727 Dream Home in Oregon!

Campbell’s Boeing 727 home is located in the woods just outside of Portland, Oregon. The retired electrical engineer bought the plane for $100,000 in 1999 and had it transported to his property. Over the years, he has spent more than $220,000 on renovations and upgrades to turn the plane into a comfortable living space.

The 1,066 square foot home features three bedrooms, a living room, a dining area, a kitchen, and even a bathroom with a shower. The cockpit has also been preserved and turned into a unique office space. The plane’s original windows still let in plenty of natural light, and the wings have been turned into patios for outdoor living.

From Plane to Home: A Look Inside This Unique Retirement Home!

Stepping inside Campbell’s Boeing 727 home is like walking into a modern apartment. The interior is sleek and stylish, with white walls and wood flooring throughout. The curved walls and ceilings add interest to the space, and the original overhead luggage compartments provide plenty of storage.

The living room features a large sectional sofa and a flat-screen TV, as well as a cozy fireplace for chilly nights. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and plenty of counter space for cooking and entertaining. The bedrooms are small but comfortable, with built-in storage and unique round windows that showcase the plane’s original design.

Overall, Campbell’s Boeing 727 home is a testament to his creativity and vision. He has turned an old airplane into a comfortable and stylish living space that is truly one of a kind.

Retirement doesn’t have to be boring, and Bruce Campbell’s Boeing 727 home is proof of that. His unique living space is a work of art that showcases his passion for aviation and design. Who knows what other retirees will come up with in the years to come? One thing’s for sure, it won’t be your average retirement home!
