According to fact-checkers from AP and Reuters, an image of a Tweet that had been digitally altered to make it appear as though it had been published by Justin Trudeau in response to a hashtag criticizing his leadership was misrepresented and publicized online. The image was meant to look as though it had been published by Trudeau. The alleged tweet did not get published, according to a spokeswoman for Trudeau who talked with the Associated Press and Reuters.
