This statement was made not long after it was reported that Musk had terminated the employment of thousands of Twitter workers throughout the world as part of an effort to reduce costs. According to sources who spoke with Real News Cast, some of the employees who were let go were part of teams that were working on the approaching midterm election in the United States, content moderation, and authentication of politicians’ accounts.

During a Democratic event in Rosemont, Illinois, Joe Biden referred to Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter by saying, “Elon Musk goes out and purchases an outfit that spews BS all over the globe.” Biden was making reference to the fact that Musk is the wealthiest man in the world.

According to CNN’s report, he was reported as saying that there are now no editors working in the United States.

Earlier, the press secretary for the White House, Karine Jean-Pierre, said that Vice President Biden had been “outspoken about the significance of social media companies continuing to take actions to eliminate hate speech and disinformation.” This includes social media sites like Twitter and Facebook as well as any other platform “where users may propagate disinformation,” she went on to say.

“Activist organizations” are causing Twitter’s profitability to plummet, according to Musk. Following the announcement that Musk would spend $44 billion to purchase Twitter, left-leaning lawmakers and activists claimed that there had been an increase in the amount of racist and hate speech that was posted on the network.

These allegations were refuted by the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, who said that “nothing has changed regarding content filtering” since he gained control of the companies a little over a week ago.

On Friday, Musk disclosed that Twitter was starting to lose $4 million per day due to “activist groups” that were “trying to destroy freedom of speech in America” by coercing advertisers to stop supporting his platform. These groups had been “trying to destroy freedom of speech and expression in America” by trying to pressure advertisers to boycott Twitter.

A previous statement he made in the field of information technology said that one of his objectives was to transform Twitter into “a common digital town square” (a place where a variety of opinions may be argued in a healthy way and without resorting to violence).
