Lara Trump Proposes Nikki Haley as Potential Vice President, Spurring Controversy and Speculation

During a Newsmax TV interview, Lara Trump mentioned a potential running mate for her father-in-law, which caused some controversy. While speaking with host Eric Bolling, the wife of Eric Trump suggested that supporters of the former president should consider the possibility of Nikki Haley as a potential vice president.

Lara Trump has proposed the idea of Donald Trump choosing his former United Nations ambassador as his vice presidential candidate, as reported by The Conservative Brief. However, Bolling expressed concerns about Haley’s possition in South Carolina, her native state, in light of Trump’s strong influence there.

The discussion shifted to hypothetical scenarios involving potential running mates for the 2024 presidential ticket, including the possibility of a Trump-Ramaswamy partnership and jests about a Trump-Carlson or Trump-Christie alliance. Lara Trump avoided taking a firm stance, highlighting the varied speculations that were circulating at the time.

When directly asked about the likelihood of Trump selecting Nikki Haley, Lara Trump kept the door open, acknowledging that unexpected choices weren’t out of the realm of possibility where Donald Trump was concerned.

Afterwards, Kari Lake, said to be under consideration for Trump’s vice-presidential nomination, answered BOlling’s question regarding Haley’s possible role in a Trump administration. Lake implied that Haley’s prospects could be better if she resigned from her current job, indicating the uncertainty surrounding these appointments.

Although Lake has been mentioned as a possible vice presidential candidate, she has recently submitted her candidacy to challenge independent Senator Kyrsten Sinema for a U.S. Senate seat in Arizona. Sinema, who previously belonged to the Democratic Party, has not yet confirmed if she plans to run for re-election.

Meanwhile, Sen. Tom Cotton, a vocal advocate of Trump’s America-centric policies, threw his support behind Kari Lake, endorsing her bid for the Senate seat in Arizona. Cotton highlighted Lake’s commitment to securing borders, promoting American energy independence, and addressing the cost of living, positioning her as a counter to what he perceives as the detrimental impact of Joe Biden’s policies on Arizona.

Lake thanked Cotton for his support, highlighting her commitment to working together to strengthen national security and promote a divergent path from the policies of Biden and Schumer, which she believes are misguided.

This endorsement unfolds ahead of a crucial race in a state poised to attract considerable attention, setting the stage for an intense and closely observed political contest.
