Disney Under Fire for Sponsoring Paris Pride Event Featuring Underage Drag Shows and Transgender Prostitute

Disney, the multinational entertainment conglomerate, is facing backlash for its sponsorship of a Parisian gay pride event that included underage drag shows and a transgender prostitute offering sexual services in City Hall’s restrooms.

The event, known as La Nuit des Fiertés, was organized by MAG Jeunes LGBT+, a French LGBTQ organization catering to individuals aged 15 to 30. In addition to Disney, cosmetic giants Sephora, and L’Oreal-owned Nyx were also listed as sponsors.

One of the event’s “special guests” was a transgender prostitute who went by the name “Icy Diamond.” Prior to the event, she allegedly tweeted a video offering sexual favors in City Hall’s restrooms. The account was later banned by Twitter for violating the platform’s terms of service.

The event also featured drag shows, including performances by underage children, in a dedicated room, as well as a separate area for dancing.

Disney has come under fire for its sponsorship of the event, with critics citing the company’s purported family-friendly values. Last year, then-CEO Bob Chapek pledged to increase the company’s LGBTQ activism. Since then, Disney has included multiple transgender characters in its children’s shows, put gay characters in the forefront of its big-budget films, and launched an LGBTQ-themed clothing line.

However, Disney has also faced criticism for promoting woke politics and social justice in its programming. The company’s streaming service, Disney+, recently released a series that teaches children that the United States was “founded on white supremacy” and has not atoned for its racism. The show, titled The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, also advocates for reparations for slavery.

In light of its sponsorship of La Nuit des Fiertés, Disney is facing renewed criticism from some who believe the company is betraying its family-friendly brand. Some have called for a boycott of the company and its products.
