With blood oxygen saturation at 89% and a blood pressure of 150/90 mmHg, medical experts noted crepitations in her lungs, coupled with ST-segment elevation on electrocardiogram and pulmonary edema visible on X-ray. An ultrasound revealed a 30% estimated ejection fraction and reduced lefted ventricular systolic function.
Treatment and Recovery
Administering norepinephrine and dobutamine intravenously, physicians treated her until diagnosing Takotsubo cardiomyopathy. After six days, she left the hospital but battled persistent tachycardia, necessitating metoprolol for management.
