Canadian-made Navigation Drone Modules Used In Attack on Russia

After the unmanned drones were shot down, the Russian military “conducted an analysis of Canadian-made navigation drone modules” that were located in the vehicles.

“According to the findings of the information retrieved from the navigation receiver’s memory,” the ministry said in an announcement that was released on Sunday. “It was determined that the launching of maritime drones was carried out from the coastline near the city of Odesa,” the statement said.

It was stated that the drones went along the secure zone known as the “grain corridor” before altering their direction and heading towards Russia’s naval station in Sevastopol, which is the largest town on the Crimean Peninsula.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine said that it is possible that one of the drones was flown “from onboard one of the commercial ships contracted by Kyiv or even its West masters for the exporting of agricultural goods from the shipping ports of Ukraine.”

According to Russia’s defense ministry, the drones that were used to target Russian vessels in the Black Sea near Crimea were outfitted with components built in Canada that were utilized in the navigation systems. These parts were employed in the drone attacks.

It was reported that sixteen Ukrainian drones carried out the strike early on Saturday morning in the Black Sea on the seized Crimean Peninsula. According to reports from Russia, their navy was able to “repel” the attack in the harbor of Sevastopol.

After the unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down, the Russian military “conducted an analysis of Canadian-made navigation modules” that were located in the vehicles.

“According to the findings of the information retrieved from the navigation receiver’s memory,” the ministry stated in a press release that was released on Sunday. “It was determined that the release of maritime aircraft was carried out from the coast near the city of Odesa,” the statement said.

It was stated that the drones went along the secure zone known as the “grain corridor” before altering their direction and heading towards Russia’s naval station in Sevastopol, which is the biggest city here on the Crimean Peninsula.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine said that it is possible that a drone was flown “from onboard one of the commercial ships contracted by Kyiv and its Nato masters for the shipment of agricultural goods from the port facilities of Ukraine.”

Russia has accused Ukraine’s capital city of organizing an assault on Sevastopol with the assistance of military “specialists” from the United Kingdom. The United Kingdom (UK) refuted the allegations.

A bomb that occurred one month ago and was blamed on Ukraine caused significant damage to a critical bridge that connects Crimea to the rest of Russia’s peninsula. The Ukrainian capital of Kyiv has denied any involvement in the strike that has prompted retaliation from Russia.

Since then, Russia has conducted enormous air and drone attacks over the whole of Ukraine, causing damage to more than a third of the country’s electricity infrastructure.
