According to the Hindustan Times, Relating to Deaths Caused by Vaccines, the Bombay High Court last week sent notices to the Indian government (both the Maharashtra federal govt and the Union government), the Serum Research center of India (SII), as well as Bill Gates in response to a petition filed by a father who claimed that the COVID-19 vaccine was responsible for the death of his daughter.
The petitioner, Dilip Lunawat, is requesting compensation of Rs 1,000 crore ($125,451,200) for the death of their daughter, Dr. Snehal Lunawat, which occurred after she received the Covishield vaccination. He accuses the state, Bill Gates, and other individuals of being responsible for the dissemination of false information regarding the safety of the vaccine and the requirement that medical personnel gets vaccinated.
